Ford Transit MK8 2020 Issue with ABS, Traction Control, Parking Sensors, Rev Matching, Cruise Control
I have been having an intermittent issue with my 2020 MK8 Ford Transit that has now become permanent as of the past few days.
For the past month or so every few times I drove I would have a fault involving the following symptoms:
- ABS Warning Light on dash
- Traction Control Warning Light on dash
- Parking Sensors unavailable
- Change in feel of moving off from a stop with the revs/bite point
- Cruise Control and Speed Limiter not able to be used
The issue was intermittent for a month or so and would sometimes not come up for days in a row or sometimes come on when I start the vehicle and go away after a few mins. The fault has now been present for the past 5 days and hasn't gone away at all so I am now more keen to diagnose the issue.
The van doesn't feel any different to drive (apart from moving off) so I don't think it's anything mechanical at fault.
All the symptoms lead to a speed sensor issue with one of the wheels which would explain the the cruise control unavailable, rev matching of the van not working, and traction control not working.
I've inspected all the wiring running to the ABS sensors and it all looks ok. I've also checked for any blown fuses of which there are none.
I've connected ForScan and run some basic diagnostics from my limited knowledge of the software. All ABS sensors are consistently reporting the correct speed of the wheels when driving. I've attached photos of the errors currently on the van, not all of which are related to this issue.
Anyone who has experienced these faults before or have any suggestions I'd be grateful to hear from you.
