Euro 5 2.2 Custom Cut Out Whilst Driving, Now Wont Start

Postby SolentProWorks » Sun Jun 01, 2025 3:16 am

Ive been trying to figure this out all day and its finally broke me.
i was driving home yesterday and the van suddenly cut out. i left it as it was and got it recovered home.
once it was home i plugged it in and it threw up these codes
p0671:00-24 (Glow Plug 1)
p0672:00-24 (Glow Plug 2)
p0673:00-24 (Glow Plug 3)
p0341 (Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
u2101 (Control Module Configuration Incompatible)

i cleared these and went to turn it over, it turns freely, with no noise other than the usual, which im guessing means the chain/tensioner is okay, plus the fact is sounds as if it has compression in my mind is a positive sign as from what ive read the engine is an interference one and im assuming it would make a lot of noise if the chain was gone.

fuel pressure is okay at the injectors.

i changed the camshaft position sensor today as a shot in the dark and the same codes came back up other than the u2101 changing to u0401.

im really lost, ive got a mobile mechanic coming out in the next couple of days to have another look over it and to try and diagnose it, im just posting to see if anyone else has ever had a similar issue and to see what the did.

it has a DPF delete and is mapped out too, new turbo 1000 miles ago and since then has been running perfectly. hopefully im not just unlucky. any help would be appreciated.

Are you getting cam/crank sync..??

Uxxxx fault codes are usually communication issues between the modules and PCM etc..

The U0401 code is related the PCM...."invalid data received".

U0201 is an "incompatible configuration".

Possibly poorly wiring to from the PCM or a poorly earth..
