Side Door locking

Postby locnad » Tue Sep 30, 2025 5:31 pm

Hi. We are currently converting a 67 plate custom tourney WAV into a camper. It previously had a single rear seat behind the driver for a rear carer/ chair user to sit in. Hence the LHS sliding door was rarely used. We have found that if the LHS door is opened first it will sound the horn twice and lock the vehicle after about a minute. This does not happen if we open a different door first.
Has anyone else come across this or, have an idea how to cure it.
Cheers

The horn beeps when locking because the system "thinks" a door is still open, even when it's closed....one or more of your doorlock mechanisms is not happy. Also check the sliding door contact pins and their pads on the door shut.

Hi . Thanks for the advice. The door is open when it sounds the horn then triggers the locking.
