IF the EGR is deleted, then i cant help you .. some deletes can totally confuse the system .. and lead you into bigger problems
all My answers are for an EGR that is not deleted .. as i don't know what or how its been disabled, so i have no idea !
Normal not deleted EGR :To monitor EGR with forscan
You need EGR
Commanded and EGR
Actual.... in
percent pids
written as abbreviations in Forscan As
ACT AND
CMDtypically like so:
download/file.php?id=57029&mode=viewalthough there are variations
Note: the one in the picture above is showing the EGR as faulty
as actual must follow commanded in live data as you drive .
If EGR actual is not following commanded .. either stuck or sticking flap or something faulty or bust ..
The EGR is a bit different in the ecoblue, has a vacuum doofer strapped to its side .. and im not familiar with all its functions, as it does not look like EGRs from transit 2.2s ... which when you look at them are self explanatory .. nobody is showing pics of ecoblue EGR internals, which leads me to say that.
and the cure could need; as little as a strip and clean to restore function .. or replacing.
Stripping and cleaning EGRs is a service item .. and depending on how driven .. for instance lots of stopping and starting , idling, short trips . if so, you may need a full strip down and clean every 20,000 miles .
