2015 2.2 ford transit P0237

Postby Ryan9153 » Tue Oct 06, 2026 11:51 am

Hi guys so trying to find out where this sensor is for this fault code.
P0237 turbo/supercharger boost sensor A circuit low.
It’s not the MAP because when I unplugged that it comes up with a MAP fault code aswell as this one.
I’ve got a feeling it’s part of the internals of the turbo itself. Any info would be helpful as I originally had a exhaust gas temp sensor issue causing a none start which would not come out of the exhaust heated the life out of it and still wouldn’t come out, replaced this part of the exhaust and now the gas temp fault has gone but now I have this fault so I’m thinking maybe the internals of the turbo have got damaged somehow, or am I missing something. Cheers guys for any help or advice.

Can’t remember the code I got but mine had under and over boost and it was the electric control on the turbo but it’s also possible that the variable veins in the turbo are gummed up and sticking and need cleaning

Thanks dumper on the way to sorting it now by mere chance I had another one in the fleet go down for the actual turbo, so ordered one for that one and when it came thought I’d plug it in to this one to see if the code cleared and it did so def the internals have somehow been damaged by all the heat I had to apply to change the catalyst or dpf ford can’t even agree on which the first one is dpf or cat, but it’s the part bolted onto the turbo I had to heat the crap out of and still in the end had to replace it. So I think turbo must of got damaged electrically somehow. Anyway halfway through putting it back together now cheers bud

First can after turbo is the CAT.
Second can running along the exhaust parallel to the ground is the DPF

Yes bud that’s what I thought and that’s what etis says but when I rang ford parts they said it’s listed on their site as a dpf? Think the newer one Is dpf first, but this one cat first then dpf.

from 2014 .. it was a catalyst combined with a DPF .. that's were the confusion lies

both types seperate and combined are shown on the same diagram pre 2014 and post 2014

and when you go to the sensor diagram .. individual exhaust units are left out.. so very confusing

so the parts chappy has his work cut out understanding what is going on

i think you must find the pressure sensors .. which will ID were the dpf section is

note on the old systems .. cat was always before DPF .. so assume it laid out the same way in the combined one

and IF .. it looks like this

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l= ... g2NzErMTMz

then that band 1/3rd along the combined whatsit .. is where the cat ends and the dpf begins

all the best.mark
