now its frosty i want to use the heater on my ex bt tranny, i can turn it on manually but does anyone know how to set the timer.i like the idea of geting into a warm van!

depending on the type of contol panel you have , is it one that lights up in orange????? :?

mate uless you have a button that has P for pogram i dont think you can set it ! :?

i can turn it on and off manually, but how do i get it to work on timer? one button has a clock and a p on, the other a + and a heater symbol

I've got one in my Police vam but it doesn't work :( . I swore I'd fix it before the weather turned bad but looking at the thermometer it's 2 degrees outside and it'a still not working :wink: In any case it's only got the basic rheostat control: turn clockwise for hotter, anti=clockwise for colder, all the way for off!

look on my eberspacher post on ybw.com forums: they know all about eberspacher heaters (except mine)
it was lovely hearing mine start a 7:10 while i was in bed, knowing my tranny was going to be warmer than my lounge!!!

if you got the basic type.you can always get a remote control kit to turn it on by remote!sell them in halfords for £39.99 but sure i have seen them cheaper somewhere.even use another remote kit to start the van!

Nah I haven't even really tried yet. I was just hoping to get around to it before I have to be outside freezing my a**e off to look at it :lol:
That degree in electrical engineering has got to come in useful sooner or later. :D
