1997 2.5 diesel exhaust front pipe fitting

How easy is it to get to the bolts that hold the front pipe to the manifold? Looks impossible!

Just weighing up whether it's worth replacing or if I just bodge fix the split...

i dont think they are to bad to do,but the bracket on the gearbox crossmember is a pain!

if its got 2 downpipes reasonably easy as long as bolts/nuts not to rusted.wd40 helps.undo them from underneath with a long extension on the ratchet may help to get someone to guide the socket onto the nuts/bolts.and also to help when refitting and putting the nuts on finger tight.good luck its bloody cold outside so wrap up.

Done this job many times, get at them bolts from under passenger door double extension 3/8 drive with a deep socket,guide with one hand & hold retchet with other, good luck.

Thanks lads! Looks like moving the airbox out the way and getting another pair of guiding hands should help things...

The Transitparts dude off ebay is selling a new genuine front pipe for £60, I'll think I'll go with that, unless there's anywhere that is a cheaper Transit parts shrine??
