dont know if there is a warranty, story is pinion bolt or sumtin broke and bolt dropped in and broke the crown wheel, but didn't do to much damage, all i know is that it was sorted and apparently fixed at 2 points to save happening again. it now wont go into 2nd, first thing in the morning but had it up at mechanic tonight and he said that it may be he has put the wrong oil in, he said he put 80/90 gearbox oil but feels that he might have to use the proper recommended oil. need van daily so would like to try recommended oil first as once heated it is driving no problem. ps i'm not technically or mechanically gifted

Correct oil is a 75w90

It's now used in just about all the manual transmissions

using oil EP oil can cause this.

also ask your man to ensure the clutch system is free of air, as a bubble or 2 can get dislodged as te fluid warms, and return again when allowed to stand.

Gear cable adjustment it crucial too, especially when the box is cold and drag is high. remove the panel from underneath the lever housing, remove the 2 spring clips and pull back the tags on the auto adjusters.

make sure thebox is in neutral, and then insert a locking bolt into the bottom of the lever (10mm thread), click the adjusters back in place and refit the clips and chuck the cover on.

Something as small as 1mm out at the lever can make a world of difference to the action of the syncro
