Postby fat-freddys-cat » Fri Dec 23, 2005 7:27 pm

Anybody know of any effective ways to remove the sticky mess left behind after removing vinyl stickers from bodywork?
Always used WD40 before but this time it's not workin'

Go the Chemist, and get some 'Meths' (admit to being an Alcaholic if you have to  ), its cheap as chips and will get rid of the 'sticky stuff', just dont leave the top off or it will be gone next time you look round!

Tar and glue remover has always worked well.

Find a company that sells to the car valeting trade and buy a gallon off them, :)

Our body man has some magic wipes, he used them where the amby's old insignia was, they are magic, but he didn't tell me what brand they are, can find out later for you.

Petrol works!

Postby fat-freddys-cat » Sat Dec 24, 2005 5:39 pm

Cheers, tried petrol as it was all I had to hand, worked a treat no marks not even from sun bleaching, stickers must have not long been on there. Only needed a couple o caps full and used dish washing sponge.
