02 Transit side door step covers

Postby swagman » Sun Jan 08, 2006 5:42 pm

On my old Tranny 120 (ex BT) to remove the plastic step covers you undid 2 screws...How do you do it on the new shape Tranny.Ive taken the plastic plug things (whatever there called) out but the plastic still doesnt shift.Tried persuading it with a screwdriver...dont want to crack them????
Regards to all Tranny owners everywhere.

Not done it on a Mk6 but even on your old one there was also 2 nuts underneath as well as the screws above so might be worth a look.

There are 2 nuts on the underside of the van below the plastic step. its either deep sockets or a spanner job,it might be 10mm but not sure.

Actually it was a Mk6 that I did it on last that I'm thinking of and yes they are 10mm.
