bottom hose catching on alternator help wanted

i am trying to fit power steering to a pinto engine i have got all the pulleys p/s pump and the alternator fitted but alas the bottom hose is catching on the alternator fan blade. Does any one know if Fords made a longer hose perhaps fitted to the Granada or does anyone know if I could fit a short section out of the bottom of the radiator which would give me a bit more room? What would I need and where would I get the part from? (I have tried bending the hose out of the way but it is putting too much strain on it). Any help would be very much appreciated. I am sure there must be someone out there who has done this conversion.

hi kev you could try ,maybe putting a piece of tube in it to extend it ,or if its all fords own set up they should do a correct hose for it!

What way do the pipes come out of the rad?
straigt or a 90Deg bend?, mine were straight but i fitted Mk5 cortina rad that had the 90 Deg bend, used Mk5 cortina pipes to match but idon't have P/S just a way of fitting different shapped hoses.
Sierra and granada are longer cos the sierra/granny rad is wider but i'm not to sure weither the shape is ok or not though.
