SWB Rear axle gaskets - availability!!

Ive just stripped the rear axle and a bit of forward thinking (rare from me ) im gonna need a a new set of gaskets - and mabe hub bearing seals depending if i can get them local!!

Are the gaskets available anyware or is it a ford only job

p.s. aslo the axle im doing it on is a mk2- i think!! - are all the gaskets the same??

I would have thought the 'o' rings would be Ford only, unless you can get a local supplier that specialises in that sort of thing.

As for the gaskets, I usually make my own..

its the o rings i can get through work!!! not sure of the seals!, i thought of making the gaskets but wondered if they were available "cheep"

Hi luke ive only ever managed to get them from motorshops in bearing kits but you can buy them single from ford ,i allways change them after ive had the hub off as the last thing you need is your nice new shoes contaminated with smelly axle oil, i tend to use instant gasket for the halfshaft best wishes billy
