Yup, I've had 2 fitted, neither have given any trouble.

1 on my 3.0 transit, the other on my 24v sierra, the van use to do 16mpg on gas, while the car does about 26.

The best bit, is getting a full tank, for about 20 quid! :P

Ive fitted gas conversions before.
the ony problems ive had have been setting it up after installation and the odd leak(easily found and fixed using household spray bottle & solution of washing up liquid)
ive always used the more advanced ecu based systems with pc setup software.

Hiya Wolfie , this is something i have looked into but its a bit costly if you dont do the miles to gain yer money back on it , here are some previous threads on this subject here and here i read somewhere that you dont have to pay the London congestion charge if yer running on lpg , but dont quote me on this

looking at the above site, and speaking to them on the phone

they only supply the kits, the kit for my mk1 single choke carb is £440, but then i would have to fit it myself, they reckon on about 2 days to fit your first kit, or a couple of evenings and you can still use the van even if you are only half way through or whatever.

if i did 6000miles a year i would pay off the kit in just under a year

what did the van do before??? not that it really matters cause the gas is half the price anyways.

18mpg on petrol

But as you say, gas is half the price, so, the costs work out to about 30mpg. Not bad for a V6 van :D

There are some cheap second hand kits on ebay. I suppose you'd have to be confident of not blowing yourself up or poisonning yourself! :? I'm not sure how it works but you might have to get a different control unit to match your engine. If you've got a camper you can plumb in your cooker/fridge to run from LPG and it works out cheaper.

No, you can't do that,

Fridges use the gas as a gas, taken from the top of the bottle, the engine uses it as a liquid, which it then heated before being sucked into the engine.
