Tot the engine in but the cold start is a leccy one not the wax stat and cable like the old one, anyone know if it's just a 12V feed (lost me meter) if it is i'll just put a switch in as a choke :D
Got to change the water temp sender and the alternator, appart from that all the same except this engine has a lift pump behind the Ex manifold so some ne pipe and a few jubalee clips and should be done tomorrow. :D

The cold fast idle I think your talking about did use a 12v supply, the power went to the waxstat on the bosch pump via a sender on the engine block near the fuel filter, the earth point for the system is below the pump onto the engine block...from memory the 2 terminal temp sensor also used the same earth point.

You could easily make the electronic cold fast idle work on the old van, give it a fused ignition fed supply to the switch by the sender, from there you need a feed out of the sender to the waxstat on the pump.

You'll need to tag on an earth cable from the pump backet to the block too from memory.

All running :D
Had a bit of a panic when loads of oil appeard over the alt after a few mins running :o then i noticed i'd knocked the dipstick out a bit and it was flying out of there
Gave the new engine and box a good look over, recon engine 10/05/05, new clutch, new rad, new fan blades all new hoses and recon fuel pump and starter motor at the same time, possably gearbox as well, it's very very clean and sweet as a nut with new mounts as well.
Steering colums swapped and door locks, seats next then the radio cassette :D
Best £200 i ever spent
see how the fast idle thing goes it started and ran perfect today without it.
