Manual DI to Turbo Auto swap

Hi guys I need some help & info, I have a 1994 long wheel base transit camper with a twinwheel rear axle, 2.5 DI engine manual gearbox & absolutly no power ,so I bought a 1997 longwheelbase, single wheel, turbo diesel automatic van & I aim to transplant the engine & auto gearbox into the camper so ,

a Do you think its a good idea &

b Can anybody get me the spec of the two vehicles off the ford site please.

Reg numbers are L63 UHF & R309 CAE.

Best you check out the auto box is working fine and that it's oil is red and not brown

Usual symptoms on these is when hot, they judder in reverse and overdrive slips under load

No problem with the autobox, been rebuilding forklift transmissions for nearly 40 years

Just getting a bit lazy ( & a lot old) left leg starts to ache in heavy traffic plus with it being so underpowered now it takes multiple gear changes to get up a long hill

Hi there Ron have you got any pics ov the campervan l63uhf at all as I have it now but it's no longer a camper I brought it as a cab and chassis and would like to see some pics of how it used to look
