Hi mate, if you could post some pictures of the van as it will give us a better idea. The last mint mk2 went for £1500, so all depends how good she is. Welcome to the site anyway

YES! Mk2s are on the up, so much so the value of what we have got scares me! I think the one that Andrew may be talking about is a SWB 4 speed OD minibus, went on ebay for £1,500. We own an identical minibus only 1 registration from it, in fair nick (see gallery), and only paid £100 with tax and test, so nearly fell over when I saw what it fetched! You really need to post some pics and show us what ya got, then we can give you a better idea of price. Depending on condition, from what you have said, I would say around £1,000 or above, well above in with the low milage! Are you selling, or is this for insurance? If for insurance say at least £1,500.

Welcome by the way, I hope you are keeping the van and stick around.

No it's worth nothing :( ..................... i'll give you £20 for it!!

but seriously if the millage is genuine then its worth a fair bit just depends on how much the body has suffered over the years!!
like andrew and fred said, some piccs would help value it!! :D

all depends on the body conditon, :? if its got no rust and mint you will get 2k for it ! if she is tatty then £500- £1000 :) but then looking on ebay there is a exelent mk1 with 54k on the clock and thats only at 1k at the moement ,everybody wants mint ones but nobody will pay for them! :? if you work out how much time and efort in welding etc it works out cheaper in the long run to get a cleen one in the first place ,unless you enjoy welding witch i dont!
its the same as the german vans mint condtion but nobody will go and get them! but they are starting to increese in value now even the germans are paying more for them! :)

My Mk2 Transit

Postby jt413 » Sun Feb 12, 2006 9:20 pm

Hi there, Thanks for the info, Im prepared to sell my Transit as I dont use it anymore and could do with the space, Ive put pics on the following link, Its the only way I could put pics onto this site.

http://spaces.msn.com/jt413/

Have a look and if anyone knows someone interested make me a sensible offer, ive owned it from new (1984), 23,000miles from new, with all old MOTS, 1600cc, 4spd, Underbody is excelent, never been used in the winter months, I Wax oiled it underneath 10yrs ago, slight fading on paint and surface rust on pass door, all it really needs for MOT is a battery and rear siliencer box.
Thanks John. (jt26sd1@yahoo.co.uk)[/url]
