van pulls to the left!

my mk5 pulls to the left when you let go of the wheel , i have had new tryes ,trancking checked etc any idea????? the fitter at fords said it might be bottom ball joints would that make it pull to the left???????? :?

How did they check the tracking? Also a seized caliper could cause this.

i would say the tracking is towing out slightly, have it checked again somewhere else, guide is -1mm to +1mm, mine is set to 0 and seems fine

:shock: it was done at fords! he gave it a lttle tweek but has made no difrents ! :? he said he thuort the bottom balljionts might be stiff causeing this , as the steering doesnt return how it should when on full lock! :?

why dont you do the btm ball joints mark ? there only £8 each :D

Just because Fords did it don't mean it's right! You'd be better of at a tyre place!

i agree, specially now you have said about the steering not returning correctly, if you are in reversing and on full lock does it pull the wheel into full lock

ball joints......jack front end up.........twist wheels back and fourth.......is it grinding and stiff? should be smooth. It will be stiff as you twist because your twisting both wheels at the same time through the steering rack but it shouldnt be overly stiff
