Radio not working

Postby Jackals » Sat Feb 28, 2009 3:20 pm

Hello Guys,

Been fixing all the little bits that where wrong with my van this morning that a bought a week ago.... Slight Problem with the radio.. It aint working... Will not light up or display anything.

I've checked all the fuses,, I'm checked the wiring behind the sterio and all seems to be fine.... But i did a volt meter check on the power plug and i'm getting 0.19v through 2 of the wires....

Is there anything else that can go wrong with them???

With thanks

Jack

Radio prob shot then, check for 12v at power connection to set.

Should be a permanent 12v & a ignition pos.1 switched live also.(usually red & a yellow)
One wire is a sidelight feed,2 others are earths.(black i think)

What model number radio,is the front panel clipped on fully ?

there is 1 fuse box under the bonnet that seems to mostly run everything under the bonnet.
then there is a fuse box on the left hand side of the dash which according to the manual runs everything in the van. including the radio.... No fuses have blown on any pannal.... I've even checked to see if somebody aint taken a fuse out the radio to use somewhere else...
Somebody also put a tracker in there to  Deal with that later!!!
