Leaking seal

On the Lucas/CAV injector pump ona 2.5Di where the cold start device cable connects to the linkage there's a spindle that passes through the bottom of the injector pump to a linkage on the opposite (engine block) side, the seals on this spindle are leaking, it seems to be leaking from the engine block side mainly. So 3 qestions......1, Is replacing these seals something i could do myself or not. 2, If it needs to be done by a dealer does anybody know of a good reliable dealer/agent in the Didcot/Oxford area, and 3, What would you expect to pay for this job to be done and how long it's likely to take them ?
