clutch rachet

attempting to replace pawl and quadrant on 1993 190D. cable slack and ratchet fails to grip when assembled. what am i doing wrong?

spring? is it located ok.
pawl? is it correctly fitted

might be easier if you could post a picture of how you've built the pedal up.

Most people put the pawl or spring on incorrectly as bondy stated.

fisi....button....and newboy nico. a bit like me on this v helpful and enthusiastic forum.

The clutch? sorted and it would have taken 18 mins as in the book had the cable not come adrift from the gearbox end.
