bosch fuel filter leaking

Hi,
I've got a 1998 turbo diesel and have had a leak, originating from the rear side of a bosch fuel filter (yellow sensor on bottom, black ford plastic top mounted into aluminium mounting).

As my head is larger than 4 inches, I have only guessed that the leak is coming from either an inlet pipe seating (plastic press in fittings), or from the seating of the black plastic fuel filter top and the casting. I'm pretty sure it's the later.

Has anyone separated one of these things??? I am trying to see if there is a failed seal somewhere between the two.... There is also a disc shaped ring assembly where there is usually a primer pump on top- I assume this is for priming, but which way do you have the arrow for priming and which way for correct functioning?

Now I have found out it is not the fuel filter- it is coming out between the black plastic pipe receptacle and the cast aluminium filter mount.....

the union in which it connects to filter housing has broken order a new pipe they are not expensive therewill two square bits on the side of fitting push them in and the pipe will come off should only take a maximum of 15 mins if you are mechanically minded
