Hi, Can anyone give me a few tips about changing engines in my 2001 2.0 tddi transit. I'm fairly handy but there is no haynes manual for this model.Do I need any special tools

hi, i have looked into changing my engine in my van a few months ago,2ltr turbo, dura tauq, and if iam not mistaken i think you have to get the new engine reprogramed by ford, unless you change your own pump to the new engine that you are fitting,

BUT wait and see what other members say on here, i could be wrong. good luck.

the engine comes with all the fuel pump and injectors, so should be OK with that

Yeah but what he means is the new pump might need programing to the van/key before it will start.

yes even the old 2.5td transits are like this mine will need reprogramming when i change the engine this week fords usually charge about£70-£100 for this
