DIFF LOCK OR LIMITED SLIP DIFF FOR DUAL REAR WHEEL TRANSIT??

Postby Rolo » Fri Apr 14, 2006 4:15 am

I'm getting greedy, aren't I?

Has anybody fitted a diff lock to his van and if so what's involved and much do they cost?

I know there are diff lock kits available for other Ford commercial vehicles but I never saw Transits mentioned.

I have never even heard of them and I wasn't really prepared for that answer.

Do you know if they can be retrofitted without having to change the whole axle and how much the parts cost?

I dont think we got the LSD axle over here

Its not covered in any of the Ford Aus repair manuals, but this doesnt mean we didnt get it, just unlikely that we did

Scotish ambulances are a good bet for LSD's, out of 4 ambulances i've owned all 3 of the scotish ones had LSDs, although non of them were transits, mountain rescue, RNLI ect :D
