The marks on the pinto engine are pretty easy to see

Set the thickest mark on the crank pully in line with the marking point on the engine., that should put the woodruff key @ 12 o clock when the pulley is off.

Remove the distributor cap and then move the plastic cover, you'll see a scribe mark on the body of the distributor which is aligned with the rotor arm.

The cam gear has an arrow formed into the backing, that lines up with a dot on the head.

It's a real easy engine to time, i might suggest a little tipex on the marks to make vision a little easier for the build up.
The auxilary pulley will spin freely with the belt off and it can knock the distributor out of line, so be sure to check the marks on the rebuild.
