what type oil does a mt75 take??? :x lost it when taking the engine out today :roll:

anyway haynes says atf car shop says ep80 so wtf does it use :P help please as the shops close in 2hrs :roll:
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

DONT put ep80 in, atf will do if you cant get the correct oil, comma do a mt75 gear oil called mt75

what about ep90??? i cant find a shop that sells that mt75 oil :( :(

Don't Fords do a special oil for the MT75?
Go to your dealer if you've got an excess of cash! :lol:

Halfords do it :!: MT75 Gearbox oil.
It only takes about 1.25litres so you'll have to buy two 1 litre 'bottles' I'm afraid.

My so called mechanic put his own EP c**p in my '96 when I requested a clutch change. I always had bother when going from 1st to 2nd 'till the engine warmed up :roll:
As soon as my brother got hold of it that was the first thing he changed :lol:

:shock: halfrauds do it :shock: didnt look there any idea on price??? :lol: ye i no someone who had a box changed and the garage put the wrong oil in and it seized so i dont want that happening :lol:

Humm....looks like i'll be draining the EP and refreashing with the MT75. I put Ep in the box a couple of years ago and yes your right, 1st to 2nd when cold is a real clunk bang, ok when warm. Thanks for the info

Don't know what the so called mechanic put in it :? I'm not sure he did either :lol: I remember it came out red the first time :!:

Had no seizeures though :D drove for thousnds and thousands of miles :shock:
It's now got the right oil and it's still going now on the same gearbox :lol:

Give Halrauds a call and get that little spotty face to go and have a look :lol:

:? you need the corect oil mate ,pink stuff ,i have had them with hypoid in and also had a overdrive box in once that was running on atf pink type and it was as good as gold!
but how did you loose the oil out of the box did it fall over without the gearstic in?????????? :? :?
