2002 LWB HI TOP Power loss

Postby Richard_Lloyd1985 » Sat Dec 05, 2009 6:44 pm

Im having trouble with power in my transit. Ive just had the flywheel and clutch changed to a solid single mass and ive cleaned out the EGR valve. Ive also put in a diesel treatment to clean out the fuel lines. Ive just done a oil, oil filter, air filter and diesel filter change and it still takes around 4 miles to get upto 70mph with it empty. Been to ford garage and theres no fault codes comming up on there computer. They were looking at it for 6 hours and couldnt come up with a deffinate answer. Any suggestions? its a 90 T350.

No, been told that it could do more damage than good. Ill attempt it tomorrow. Any other ideas if that fails?

who and for what reason :?:

the solid flywheel will cause more damage.

Thats what ford told me about blanking it off. Im gonna blank it off today and see what happens, if no different ill just put it back. Should i change the injector pump? as i been told its another common problem? Its ok in 1st and 2nd gears upto about 30mph, then sluggish and no power all the way upto my top speed off 70mph! (although i only get to 70mph if the roads longer then 5miles)

theres just no power on it. surely if i went into fords they would off noticed that as they was looking at why it was so slow? plus it pulls away upto 30mph the same as another van. just between 30mph and 70mph its slow. even when its empty.
