I believe the service interval is about 60000.

Depends on the year of manufacture tbh

48000
60000
50000

and their multiples 8) have all been used, in that order.

I would say 50,000!! Though the only one that ever went on us went at 35,000 so you never know! Alway do them when the engien goes is or when you buy a van too, as you don't know when the last change was done.

Tale of a timing belt going

Postby thehangmen » Thu May 11, 2006 9:11 pm

On our last van the belt went at a tollbooth in France in the middle of the night - the AA steped in and we had it back the next day with new rods, cost us £150 on top and we didn't miss a gig - scarey at the time though.

Near Epernay, the champagne region, just past Paris.

I am stunned. They actually WORKED in the middle of the night?? The best I have ever got (3 times in maybe 18 years, four times a year) is to get dumped in a poorly secured yard and abandoned....... :P

Ah right, I have never been happy with leaving the (loaded) van in some yard full of striken and smashed motors. I stay with.
