What's the Mk6 grey called?

Postby Shamrockez » Fri May 12, 2006 1:36 pm

Hi guys, I don't have a Transit, but bear with me..... I've been wanting to paint my 58 Beetle in a nice grey colour:

So she'll eventually look like this:

Anyway - I was sitting at some traffic lights on my way home for work a couple months ago and a Mk6 (??? I think - one which would be on an 04 plate) went past and it was a lovely grey colour - it was one of those dulux colour matching advert type scenes couple with "I want that one"

So does anyone know what this colour is called, or have a pic of it?

Many thanks :D

Magnum grey sounds like the likely colour. Does anyone have pics of either of these?

Thank you :D

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Must have been medium steel blue then. Unless it was an early Mk6 and the colour has no been discontinued hence not showing in the colour chart?

google shows this as medium steel blue:

Which looks too blue to be the grey I saw.

It was on a mini bus if that makes a difference?
