need help opening the bonnet on a 02 ford transit key wont work

Make sure the grille is fitted correctly maybe even try it with the grille removed.

yeah its my van.tried everything to get the bonnet open had it open this afternoon.went to jump start it tonite and the key wont open the bonnet for me.id like to open it with as little damage as possible.is there a cable or something i can try and pull.i already have the grill off. thanks guys

I had this problem mate, also with opening the fuel filler cap. Ended up being the key, got a new one cut and job done.

I've got one thats exactly the same....

I get it to work by pushing the key in hard, and keep it in hard, turn it to the left first (so it pops open a bit) and then turn it to the right (holding it in hard the entire time)...then lift the bonnet while holding the key there...

works for me every time like that.... and I showed someone else the same thing when his was stuck and it worked for him !

I thought they were all like that until i got another van and you didn't have to do it like that
