transit tipper control module wont turn off

Ive just bought 05 transit pick up tipper. Its got a control module for the tipper that is digital in top of dash and it wont turn off any ideas any1. ive disconnected wires from module and when pluged in asks if ive read instructions(dont have) if replie no turns off if replie yes says turn on then tip up or down. you can tip up or down no bother but wont turn off till left around an hour. this cant be right i dont think. thanks
