Hi,has anyone had this problem before, every now and then when I put the sidelights on on my '96 smiley face the buzzer comes on and main beam light comes on permenantly??? if I then switch to main beam only one headlight comes on,it doesn't happen all the time so i suspect that water is getting somewhere it shouldn't be..any idea's????

Firstly make sure all your grounds are good . . .no good checking for anything in the loom unless the grounds to the body are good. Then work systematically through the multiplugs making sure that they are connected and dry. You dont say how old the van is . . I have had corroded wires on a multiplug where water ingress was a problem . .to the naked eye the wires looked OK :) only to find that one or two came out of the multiplug when pulled slightly :( .
