T reg transit hard to start

MY T reg transit non turbo is a sod to start from cold. It will only start if I use eazy start. I thought it might be the glow plugs on the engine but it looks like theres none. What cold start method does this model use and what could be the problem.

There are many threads covering the MK5 cold start issue.

There are no glow plugs as you say.

There are several mods you could do such as leak off and egr. If you do a search for either of these, you will come across the many cold start problem threads

When was the oil last changed and is it 5/30
When was the timing belt last changed
When you say its hard to start does it turn over but not fire, or is it slow to turn over
