Jumbo Sidelight Bulb

Postby AJHP » Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:50 pm

Please excuse my ignorance, however, I have just bought a 2005 Jumbo Transit which has a number of orange sidelights down the side of the vehicle.

One of the bulbs has blown and wanted to know whether I access the blown bulb from the inside or outside of the van........had a brief try from the outside by trying to 'pull out' the light unit, but did not want to force it. The van is plylined inside, therefore access to the lights from the inside may be tricky?

Grateful for any help?

If they are the same as the MK7 then the reflecter is seperate from the black plastic surround. You need to ease the reflecter out of the surround enough to turn it anti-clockwise approx 1/4 of a turn then it should come away

yes twist and pull out, if your keeping van for a long time, suggest you think about changing them, they are quite crap , you cant buy lenses on there own if you loose one and after a while, they let in water .there £40+ each to buy. get some leds of e.bay and fit them i got a set of eight for £14
