How to remove oil from the engine and bonnet

Postby cazbah » Fri May 19, 2006 2:37 pm

hi there, ive been driving my camper and the oil cap popped off and the oil spilled over the bonnet and over the engine. Does anyone have any good advise on how to remove the oil. Ive heard that "amoniea" could be good, would that work:?:

If it's just on the underside of the bonnet, try bleach kitchen cleaner 80p ish from Netto. Don't use it on the colour outside the bonnet, but if you use it where you can't see it, it's fine. Try it in the engine too, but don't leave it on the hoses. I have actually got paint off wheels with it!
