on my turbo diesel smiley van just had new center bearing so its not that any ideas whats wrong

shook gearbox with my hands and this did feel a bit soft :idea:

Its quite difficult to check as all the weight of the gearbox sits on the mount. Try slowly jacking up the gearbox and see if it seperates from the mount.

do u think it could judder if the mount was a bit soft

not sure my friend? ive never had this happen but if your in reverse gear and the mount is split/soft then i would guess that the gearbox will 'lift' from the mount and could cause the juddering.

Got the same issue, had a new clutch and bearing but still there.
Wll be watching this thread, sorry can't ofer much more than a bit of solidarity and possibly rule out the clutch itself as the main cause.

this is going to be a duff clutch or soggy/broken mounts (gearbox or engine mountings could cause this)
