number plate lights for a mk2

Postby poppa » Tue May 23, 2006 8:38 am

hi, does anyone know if any other ford number plate lights will fit my Mk2 1982 camper, as despite passing its mot I just discovered mine arent working, due to corrosion i think and maybe a faulty wire. if anyone can advise it would be appreciated as i dont want to spend all day traipsing round a scrap yard comparing lights, thanks

I am fairly sure that all kinds of fords were fitted with these number plate lights. I would have a close look at them first, cos aren't they chromed plastic?

right :!: i'd prolly try to fit mk3 ones (or any easly found light) then the back panel will file out easy with a dremmel - i modded mine to take mk2 ones - infact mk3 ones might be the same ?? but there allways gonna be easier to find - i'll check on mine next time im up!! :D
