Transit 2002 100ps, looses power then runs fine

hi got a transit 02 di 100 ps it starts and runs fine then looses power smokes a bit then ease off the pedal and goes back to normal then does the same things 20 secs later any ideas where to start?

After a proper service filters etc, Blank off the egr valve and clean out the inlet manifold

ok wicked, is the egr valve connected to the inlet manifold?

had new filter ect, also the glow plug light flashes on now and again.

Glow plug light flashing indicates a fault, get the codes read

yeah hoping to get that done asap will let ya kno outcome

some error codes picked up

po404 exhaust gas recirculation control circuit/performance x 2

p1564 fuel injection pump requesting reduced fuelling mode

also the engine only plays up when warm

any help appreciated
