Mk 6 06 transit tourneo fuel pump

Hi all my head is spinning my pump has gone caput all diesel specialists just want to have my pants down.

So my regular garage doesn't want to do pump but will order me one on his account so no major outlay just yet but have been told that pump needs coding in by a couple of places now tonight another garage told me that the pump doesn't need coding as the injectors are coded and not the pump is this true as I have a guy that will fit pump as a guvvy and save me a few quid cheers

Is this a tdci,i assume so it being a tourneo ?
If so pump is not coded,but are you sure thats the fault ? Think i`ve only ever replaced one,everything else goes wrong before pump
If its tddi,most replacement/recon pumps self code,if its a "used" pump it will need coding
