Only a small problem but damn annoying in the drizzle that is the British weather! The intermittent wiper function seems to be forgetting that it is intermittent. When I move the wiper stalk down, there is a pause then a click from a relay under the dash and the wipers move but do not stop once they return to the starting position. Is there an easy fix or is it a case of getting another wiper motor from the breakers yard?

Ford Transit 120 TDI EPIC Automatic. 0-60 in a leisurely and smooth 12.7 seconds and 1/4 mile in 19.1 seconds. Now where's all these faster? manual Di s?
Thanks guys, but I have found a 'quick fix' for this. I have removed the passenger wiper arm and repositioned it so that the wiper blade just touches the lower windscreen rubber on the return stroke. The slight resistance this creates seems to stop the wiper motor in just the right place and now the wipers work intermittently as they should. I'm guessing the wiper motor 'park' position must be slightly out of place, but this bodge will do for me!

if the wiper motor is trying to move the arm and its stuck in your bodge position ,it will burn motor out eventually, then you wont have nowt,as the other members say easy cheap fix if its the relay
