Front door check strap

Am I right in saying that Ford only make one which will fit either the nearside or offside doors?

Do you have to remove the door card to fit one? how doe you remove the window winder? There's no sign of how it's held on, on a 2008 model.

Not sure if the checkstraps are handed or not but dealer should say if they are the same part number or not. The door trim needs to be removed as the checkstrap needs to be withdrawn from inside the door. The winder handles have a horseshoe shaped clip on the back of them which needs to be removed, have a look at this to give you an idea.

Yeah thanks, that helps a lot, just got to find out if the straps are handed, anyone know if there is a Ford fiche on line?
