Bottom runner come away on sliding door

Postby Glocko » Sat Apr 03, 2010 10:17 am

Hi chaps.
First post here!
I've borrowed a 2005 LWB Transit minibus for the weekend.
Yesterday I couldn't close the sliding side door (nearside)
It transpires that the bottom runner mechanism has come away from the groove it's supposed to run along.
Is this a simple fix? Will something (nut etc) have come away to cause this?
Will post pics if necessary.
Thanks
Paul

Its usually the roller which fails allowing the door to come adrift

I've experienced this on the vans at work, only 3/4 years old, I can't see any thing wrong with the rollers though. I just pop it back into place and often it works for weeks/months OK until the next time.
