di turbo differences

Postby MONSTER 0NE » Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:56 pm

Hi guys
just a quick question, is there any differences between the turbos on the trusty old td di engines eg 85ps 100 ps 115ps other than the manifolds ?
cheers

dont think so, except the 115PS turbo outlet is at a slightly different angle

The wastegates may open at a bit higher boost on the higher output ones ?

Nah :!:
Pistons are different on all three models, more to do with lowering the compression :) (the higher the output, but not by much )

thats what i was hoping, as someone is selling a turbo complete with manifold and oil feed pipes for less than ford want for the oil feed pipe i need, as the end boke off when i took my td engine apart to give it a once over before fitting it in my van. so i would end up with a spare turbo which is always a good thing to have in stock.
