hi chaps the exhaust on my 2.0 petrol trany haz snaped just after the cat can i do away with it and put a link piece in

yes. and it dont need it for the mot if diesel..

So yes you can, however if it was made in or after 1992 a cat is a requirement for the MOT and it will fail without it.

As mentioned, no cat... no mot even if emmisions good, which they won't be!.... have the old one tigged..
