Hi all! Have a Mk6 2litre turbo diesel and have a problem with the remote door locking mechanism.
When I use the fob to lock it, all the doors lock but the front doors then unlock themselves! When I lock up manually and then use the fob to unlock it all works right, its just on locking that the front doors lock then unlock! Can anyone advise please? Also, when I lock manually does the immobiliser still do its job? Be well pleased with solution anybody-thankyou! Bob J.

Have a look at the wiring loom to the rear door, had exactly this fault with a customers van the other day. The wiring appears to get caught up and wears through this the shorts several cables together. Best way to repair it is to remove the complete rear door loom and splice in new cables
