starts the cuts out

05 ldv starts then runs for a bit then cuts out. Had fuel pump reconditioned but same problem exists. changed fuel filter housing. same problem any suggestions please help.

similar problem with my transit. started cutting out, restarted immediately, then got worse. tried the usual...leaks, air, fuel fileter, lift pump, injectors, no solution. then the engine wouldn,t even start. garage couldn,t find the fault suggested new injector pump...i didn,t reckon it was that so took the van home. thought i had developed a start motor problem, it wasn,t but it turned out to be the wiring to the 'stop vavle' at the back of the injector pump, the wiring had broken obviously when it was running the wiring was breaking shutting of the fuel and the starter (i,m guessing it connects somehow to the starter ???) now "all" i have to do is try and find a way of removing the wiring plug? from the back of the injector pump to repair the break in the wiring without the hassle of removeing the pump....seems to be fixed to the pump !!!! we love em when their good and hate them when their bad. hope this helps
