Brake problem - Pulling to one side then the other - HELP

It's an X reg FWD.
It pulls to one side and then the other when i try to brake but it's weird.

I put my foot on brake and it pulls to right and without correcting the steering to compensate for the pull, it then pulls to the left !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Like it swerving all over the place.

I know something is not right as when sitting on a flat the brakes are deffo sticking.

i would be confident enought to remove the brakes to check em etc....

Is it a big job to take the pistons out of the front calipers to clean em as i suspect this is where the problem lies

Have not even jacked it up yet to check anything.

Van is parked up and will not be used till sorted.

Just looking some pointers or advice before i tackle it.

sounds like caliper seizing,you need a supply of compresed air (low pressure) foot pump should do if not to badly seized,remove dust covers stick caliper in a vice or clamp,clamping one piston only,apply pressure slowly to brake pipe,so the other piston comes about half way out..then clamp that piston in the half way position,(best use g clamp) then apply pressure again so other piston comes half way out,both can now be removed....make sure you put pistons back in to same bores.....remove seals,clean all components up,dont use petrol or similar on caliper,use meths,or clean hydraulic fluid.....if there is excessive grooves /srcatches on bores or piston will need another caliper...
on mk6 dont no about earlier mks there is a dual braking system where as one front wheel is linked to opposite back wheel (same with other side) so you should never lose all braking power....if calipers are ok,and you keep getting oposite braking as discribed could be worth looking at this,(operated by a tandem master cylinder) dont think it will be this.

why dont you go and have a free brake check at your local tyre place,when they tell you whats wrong get a written quote off them then you should have the cause of your problem if they have done a correct diagnosis

more than likely just the pads are seizing up in there sliders or maybe just the pads are useless or worn low..

used to have this on a honda accord , never did find what was doing it though

front flexi hose rotten on the inside acting like a one way valve
its the same as my little van did new flexis and it was like a new un again

It's difficult to say without driving it but if the rears aint working at all the front wheels will do this as well
