suitable glues to join door rubber ends back together?

hi guys,
my rear up-n-over door rubbers are splitting where the corners were originally bonded together to make it a seemless
join.
any suitable glues to join back together?
ive tried bostik/evo stick (works great to join the rubber to the door but not rubber to rubber)
and even tried the vulcanising liquid that comes with puncture repair kits and nothing seems to hold out.
need to stop the water getting in around the top edge soon or there wont be any van left to make water tight :0

I was gonna say rubber cement from a puncture kit but you mention you tried it. Would it melt together with some carefully applied heat? Or you could try Plumbers solvent weld but i doubt that will work, just an idea.

Rubber used to be one of the few things that I found could be stuck together using Superglue .............. well that and skin

If i had a quid every time i used super glue to stick something like a door seal and managed to stick my fingers to it as well. Superglue was a nightmare, either that or i should never be let near the stuff

But superglue is water soluble so if it's keeping water out it'll fail again

sikaflex? or windscreen glue?? nip to the local windscreen place, as the use a primer on the 'rubber' prior to bonding, could give you some advice

dunno about soluble but i stuck a peice of new rubber into transit doorseal with a hole in it and that was two years ago and its still going strong

sikaflex would be the right stuff, it probably wont stick the seals together but will form an elastic joint between the two seperating bits
