LPG Transit

Postby francie » Sun Apr 25, 2010 11:03 pm

I have a 2003 (factory fitted conversion)petrol/lpg transit 2295cc and has been going fine for 2 years. Has just started to give trouble in that when is up to temperature the van switches over to gas and then promptly stops. In other words will run on petrol but not on gas. Anyone got any ideas. Necam gas conversion. Does anybody know where the LPG control module is located in the van.

Hi, could be the fuse, but also check the solenoid on the lpg tank - there are 2 connectors there, one is for the sender unit for the fuel guage, the other is for the solenoid that releases lpg. If it's working you will hear a noticable click when it switches over to lpg. Failing that, the only other thing I can think of would be heavily blocked filters. There are 2, one in line and one in the evaporator.
Hope that helps
