fuel filter problems

I have a 2005 ford transit 280/100 swb i changed the fuel filter but and started the van it ran for bout a min then stopped, now it wont start, its hopefully a simple fix but not sure wat to do... thanks

sounds like you have the dreaded bleed prob,as long as you havnt changed filter to try to get rid of some sort of problem,did you fill filter full of diesel before fitting,when filling with diesel, tap,filter, ,tip slightly, as air will keep coming out of filter,dont just fill it and put back on,air gets trapped in them only fit back on when you are sure its got no air in it,,when it starts crack one injector pipe at a time to try and get rid of any air locks,you may get this right first time if you lucky, but may well have to try 2,3 times,they can be a bit of a b**stard to do,make sure the filter is corectly fitted and tight

thanks will try that, was only changin filter as routine service not to try and fix any problems, will get back in a while and report the progress thanks again.
