how much dose this van weigh?

firstly im a newbie at this so sorry if this in the wrong section. iv had a quick search but carnt seem to find out what the van i have should weigh.
its a mk5 V reg 1999, 120 swb with the 2.0 petrol twincam engine.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

Kerb weights aren't listed, only way to really tell is to put it on a weigh bridge. Why do you need to know?

iv bought it as a doner for one of my other transits but it on the back of my beavertail at the min and want to know if im over weigh.
the beavertail weighs 2ton bang on so i should be ok for 1.5ton but dont know if this is heavier

Yes you'll be over weight.

As said, you need to weigh it really, but I'm sure the weight will be over 1500kg, and nearer to 1600kg

It's not just the weight of what is on the back, it's the distribution of the weight and it will be over loaded on the back axle as there will be sod all weight on the front axle.

thats what i thought but someone i know assured me it wasn't over 1.5ton. ill start takeing bits off tomorow and see if i can get back under weight before i take it to transit heaven

striped the van this morning and now scraped it, it still weighed 1480kg even after i had taken off what i wanted.
